Belmark Family,

Please see below updates regarding face masks, return to school and COVID-19 testing.
Face masks

  • Belmark has been wearing face masks since April 7th and will continue to enforce this policy.
  • On July 30th, Gov. Tony Evers declared a Public Health Emergency and issued an Emergency Order
requiring individuals to wear face coverings when indoors and not in a private residence. The
order is effective August 1st – September 28th, 2020 or by a subsequent superseding order.
  • While WI didn’t provide clarity on employees within cubicles, the task force researched other
states and will follow their clarification:

    • MN Department of Health – “The executive order also identifies a number of situations
where a face covering may be temporarily removed, such as when a worker is working
alone (for example when in an enclosed office, a cubicle with walls above face height when
social distancing is maintained, or enclosed space where no other individual is present).”
  • Out of an abundance of caution, we have ordered 2 foot temporary partitions which will be
added to the top of cubicles for employees who are currently onsite. Expected installation is
    September.
  • Face masks are available to all Belmark employees in a variety of different styles. Please contact
April Knaus (aprilk@belmark.com) in order to request additional face masks.
  • The week of August 10th we will have youth face masks available for all employees to give to the
    children in their family.

Return to School Planning

  • Our Mission Statement principles continue to guide us as we navigate changes from the COVID-19
pandemic. At Belmark, we care about and respect the needs of others. Our needs are counted in a
caring way and addressed in a fair and realistic manner.
  • We understand there are varying return to school plans by district and grade level. This is a time
for planning, including “what if” planning should school arrangements change abruptly. Please
work through straight and open communication with your manager as you balance the needs of
your family and your role at Belmark.

COVID-19 Testing

  • The state and nation continue to test at high levels. Please remember to inform Belmark of any
pending tests and subsequent test results.
